The leading contender for the Apa /Agatu Federal Constituency Seat under the platform of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, Hon James Melvin Ejeh has assured the people of Ologba Community in Agatu Local Government Area that he will address their critical challenges within a period of six months of his emergence as their Representative in the Green Chambers.
Hon. Ejeh who disclosed this during a visit to the community in continuation of his consultation tour of the local government noted that he is in the race to bring an end to the numerous challenges that the Apa /Agatu people are confronted with, adding that addressing these issues is not a difficult task at all.
He further disclosed that he will sponsor bills that will lead to the provision of healthcare facilities, schools, access to modern farm equipments,loan facilities for women, alternative means of transporting their goods to the market, youths empowerment and above all partnering with relevant organisations both foreign and local to reconstruct some destroyed communities of Agatu by suspected herdsmen.
The House of Representatives Aspirant noted that he is deeply distressed by the condition of the Apa /Agatu people before, during and after the Fulani herdsmen attacks in the area, adding that they are very good and peace loving people and deserves nothing but the best of democracy dividends which he will deliver to them if given the mandate.
Responding unbehalf of the community, Mr. Moses Epeh said they appreciate the deep sincerity and people centredness of Hon Ejeh, adding that they are not in doubt of his ability to transform Apa /Agatu for the better both in terms of physical and human capital development.
He noted that they have given their total support to his aspiration and commended his unique style of politicking of directly interfacing with the people instead of sending representatives as well as his doggedness of visiting the community despite the riverine topography of the area in the raining season, disclosing that he is the only aspirant and politician in the history of the area to have exhibited such uncommon love and empathy for the people.
