Zamfara State Governor, Bello Mohammed has disclosed that he has total confidence in the ability of the Nigerian Security operatives to deal with the unfortunate security trials confronting the state.
Mohammed was reacting to the story making the rounds that his administration has resolved to shun the Nigerian the Nigerian Security Agencies and seek for solution to banditry and other crimes in the state.
In a statement dated June 17, 2019 and signed by his SSA on Media, Zailani Bappa, Mohammed noted that it is the confidence he has in the security apparatus that has propelled his zeal and commitment to their operations in the state since he assumed office.
The statement read in part: “His Excellency, Governor Matawalle deemed it most appropriate to pay his first official visit to the President and Commander-in -Chief of the Nigerian Armed Forces only last week where very far reaching agreements were reached on the need to strengthen the fight against criminals in the state
“It is a source of worry, therefore, that the Governor is portrayed in negative light regarding the issue of security fight in particular and the commendable work the Nigerian Security Agencies are doing to rid the state of bad eggs in the state
“Nigerians should therefore be rest assured that the administration of his Excellency, Hon (Dr) Bello Mohammed (Matawallen Maradun) as a people oriented administration will never undermine the confidence of Nigerian Security Agencies in their duty towards rejuvenating our past glory of peace, tranquility and progress,” the statement added.
