The Standard Bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the forth coming governorship election in Ondo State, Eyitayo Jegede, has recieved certificate of return from the National Secretariat of the party in Abuja.

The certificate was issued to Jegede by the Chairman of the State Primary Election Committee and Enugu State Governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.

Jegede had 888 votes to win the party’s primary election, while Deputy Governor of the state, Agboola Ajayi, who defected to the PDP from the All Progressives Congress a few weeks ago, had 657.

The result of others who participated were: Eddy Olafeso (175), Banji Okunomo (90), Olabode Ayorinde (95) and Boluwaji Kunlere (33).

Jegede will square it out with Governor Rotimi Akeredolu in the October governorship election in the state.
