The Nigerian Army, said based on based on “Intelligence report”, it’s troops of 144 Battalion on Monday, killed scores of Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists at the Mandara mountains in Adamawa State.

This was disclosed in a terse statement posted on Nigerian Army Headquarters verified facebook page.
According to the statement, which had no signature of either the army spokesman or the Chief of Army Staff, the killing of the terrorists was done following the ambush the troops laid for the terrorists.
The statement further said the ambush was carried out in conjunction with Civilian JTF, following withdrawing ISWAP/Boko Haram after a superiority clash between the terror groups
It further disclosed that weapons, equipment and unexploded Improvised Electronics Devices (IED) were recovered from the terrorists.
“Based on intelligence report, in the early of today Monday troops of 144 Battalion Madagali-Adamawa State in conjunction with Civilian JTF laid an ambush on withdrawing ISWAP/BHT after a superiority clash between the terror groups. Scores of terrorists were neutralized at Mandara mountains. Weapons, equipment & unexploded IED were recovered,” the brief statement reads.
