A former Presidential Aide, Reno Omokri has advised Nigerians on the need to look out for their parents while they are still alive.

Omokri, known for his thought-provoking and controversial tweets, on his official X handle argued that no one can honour their parent’s memory.
According to him, “A person that is gone is gone.”
With this in mind, he advised “So, honour them now. Call them now. Send them an alert now. Visit them now. Because anything you do for them after they have gone is just a waste of money and time.”
The former presidential aide noted that spending on the dead only benefits the spender and the people that he/she wants to impress.
“Spend on the living, not the dead. Even prayers do not work on the dead. There is no salvation in the grave,” he concluded.
