Hamzat clocked the age of 59 on Tuesday, September 19, 2023.
Taking to his official X handle, Sanwo-Olu described the celebrant as trustworthy, hardworking, dependable, supportive, reliable, and committed brother, friend, and partner in the ‘Greater Lagos’ agenda.
According to him, Hamzat is an epitome of dedication and selflessness, who has used his elevated positions in government to uplift the standards of life of the people he is serving.
His tweet reads, “On behalf of my family, Lagos State Government, and the good people of Lagos State, I wish my trustworthy, hardworking, dependable, supportive, reliable and committed brother, friend and partner in the ‘Greater Lagos’ agenda, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, a happy 59th birthday.
“Dr. Hamzat is an epitome of dedication and selflessness, who has used his elevated positions in government to uplift the standards of life of the people he is serving.
“A seasoned technocrat, administrator, politician, and committed democrat. Dr. Hamzat remains of the most committed public servants and politicians in Lagos state in the present Fourth Republic, whose contribution to the progress and political development of our dear Lagos state has been nothing short of outstanding.”
The Lagos governor also prayed that God grants good health and presence of mind to the deputy governor.
“Therefore, on the occasion of your 59th birthday today my dear Brother, I celebrate you, and pray that The Almighty continues to bless, keep you and grant you good health and presence of mind, as we steer the ship of governance in Lagos. Amen.”
