The Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun has arrived in Jos, the Plateau State Capital.
IGP Kayode Egbetokun, who arrived in the state on Friday, will meet the state Governor, Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang.
The visit to the state comes days after the police boss condemned in the strongest terms, the appalling attacks on numerous villages in the state which resulted in the tragic loss of lives in Bokkos and Barkin Ladi Local Government Areas.
The IGP had described these “heinous acts” as not only barbaric but also reprehensible and inhumane.
He also, in response to the situation, ordered the immediate deployment of additional manpower and resources to Plateau State.
Meanwhile, the IGP has ordered with immediate effect, the deployment of tactical teams and equipment to the state.
Similarly, IGP Kayode Egbetokun has ordered the immediate relocation of the Assistant Inspector General (AIG) to Zone 4 in the state.
